The performers masterfully utilized the colorful set, including the slide on stage right. Like all KIDZ BOP songs, the lyrics are sanitized for its young audience. It was fun, energetic, and kid-appropriate.
The kids opened to Bruno Mars’ cover song “24K Magic” wearing gold jackets and riding on bikes.
They weren’t lip synching – these kids were the real thing. Unlike some adult pop stars who can’t sing and dance at the same time, these kids did so without losing stamina. The dancing was non-stop, and they sang one song after another. These 10 to 13 year old boys and girls sang and dance at levels beyond their years. Four of the six KIDZ BOP Kids performed in the show that day. Our seats provided a spectacular view of the performers. Like the other VIPS, we sat in the first section closest to the stage. After enjoying the refreshments and taking in the view, it was time to leave the VIP Lounge for the concert. The concert staff took pictures of the guests and immediately texted them to each participant. Kids could wash it all down with an unlimited supply of Juicy Juice Splashers. The kid-friendly food included cheese puffs, chicken tenders, mini-pizzas, kettle popcorn, chips, and cotton candy. The spacious area featured cushy red couches, plenty of tables and chairs, photo area, bar, and food. It boasted a stunning view of the beach nestled against the Atlantic Ocean. The concert staff brought the VIPs to the VIP lounge on the roof terrace of the Ford Amphitheater. The bags contained a KIDZ BOP inflatable beach ball and a large photo of the performers with their signatures. We checked in through the VIP Entrance and received our VIP badges as well as goodie bags. The stately building was connected to an outdoor covered area featuring the stage and seats. The concert took place in the Ford Amphitheater. Between the beach, Luna Park amusement park, and classic restaurants like Nathan’s Hot Dogs, the place was hopping. Since we had some time to kill, we walked along the famous Coney Island boardwalk on the shores of Brooklyn. The check-in for the VIP pre-party started at 1:30 pm with the show starting at 3 pm. We wanted to make sure we didn’t miss the VIP pre-party, so we arrived in Coney Island hours before the show started. Then she became even more excited in anticipation of the experience to come. My daughter didn’t know what VIP stood for until I explained it.
We received VIP tickets and made the trek to Coney Island, New York. When I announced the news to my daughter, she squealed in delight. This past weekend I surprised my daughter with tickets to the KIDZ BOP “Best Time Ever” tour, courtesy of tour sponsor Juicy Juice Splashers.
